The work of sally torres is an intrinsicate mix of textile work and improvisation on design. What occurs in her studio is a constant mix and match of patterns, lines and textures that together form compositions that she decides you could either wear them or hang in a wall. Her work is definitely a labor of love, since she uses lots of craft, embroidery, and patchwork,
and most of the pieces are one-of-a kind.

She has never considered herself as an “Fashion “ designer, but as a clothing designer and artist. Escaping from boxes and labels she has preffered to show her pieces in small shows, art events and exhibitions by using clothing in installations and performances. Formerly she has her home/studio located in rural area of Cidra, and sells clothing and other works to small contemporary boutiques, since mass production is not on her mind. To continue the labor of love she works freelance as a textile art instructor to womens and childrens in Puerto Rico.
